Shipping & Returns
We are required to automatically charge and withhold the applicable GST for orders to be delivered to addresses within New Zealand. Each customer shall be solely responsible for all sales taxes, or other taxes, on orders shipped to any other state or country.
If an item is out of stock and available to special order you will be charged at time of check out however delivery of goods will occur once they goods are again available to ship. This may be weeks to months depending on the product. We will inform you of the estimated shipping time when we receive your order. Please enquire before ordering if your requirements are time critical.
We use Aramex, NZ Couriers, Post Haste and Castle Parcels to ship orders. Larger orders may be shipped as freight. Overnight, Saturday Deliveries, Wholesale Orders and International Orders will be charged freight at a competitive rate.
For General orders over $150 shipping will FREIGHT FREE - this includes Rural deliveries. For orders under $150 shipping will be $13 ex gst ($14.95 including gst)
Shipping delivery targets are overnight for South Island urban centres, 1-3 business days for North Island urban centres.
Non Urban/Rural deliveries can add 2-3 days to these targets.
Please provide a physical delivery address as we cannot courier to PO Boxes. If you require PO Box delivery please contact us for delivery options.
COVID-19 - contactless deliveries are still in place during the pandemic. Please be patient as there may be delays in some situations.
We endeavour to dispatch orders the day they are received. Orders may be dispatched the next business day if required.
Please check our Christmas closure dates - orders received during this period will be dispatched when we reopen. We are also closed Public Holidays - Easter, Anzac, Matariki, Kings Birthday, Labour Day.
Order collection is available Monday - Friday from 8.30am to 4pm.
Please contact us by phone or email for any overseas purchases. Where the product is being sent directly to an overseas address we will deduct the 15% Goods and Services Tax from the price.
Permission to Return and to Receive Credit
We will accept return of merchandise ONLY IF IN SALEABLE CONDITION with all packaging and tags attached. Due to safety concerns technical climbing equipment and life supporting products are unable to be returned unless NZ Consumer Law requires repair or replacement under warranty. Returned goods incur a 15% restocking fee except where the seller has supplied in error or alternative arrangements have been agreed to by the seller. Ropes cut to length and customised products are not eligible for a refund. Please contact us within 7 days of receipt for a Return Authorisation Number & include a copy of your original invoice and information detailing if you would like a refund or exchage of product. Ensure the product is securely packaged and courier to Outsider Mountain Sports Ltd, 24A Albert Street, Rangiora. The returned merchandise excluding your original shipping charges and restocking fee (if applicable) will be credited back to your original form of payment - your account or Credit Card. The cost of return shipping shall be the responsibility of the customer.
Damaged or Incorrect Merchandise
We will, upon your request, replace any merchandise that is received in damaged condition or as a result of a picking error. No material will be accepted or replacements issued without prior approval to return such merchandise. Filing of claims will be our responsibility.
